Empress ParaEq Mkll Deluxe HPF functionality

To be specific about things, the hpf in the Empress is -12 dB per octave, the same as the Broughtons. The gen 3 FDecks use a “12+12” filter setup, with a fixed -12 dB filter at 35 hz, and an additional variable -12 dB filter (so it’s always -24 db below 35 hz). The Thumpinator is a fixed -36 dB at 25 hz. There are other options out there, too (Sine Effects has a variable -24 dB filter, the variable hpf on the Genzler Magellan Pre is -18 dB). If -12 dB per octave gets you the results you are after, than the filter in the Empress will do the job.
