Has anyone here tried using "Plasti Dip" on their endpin to replace a worn out end pin stopper?

Being in the middle of no-where and cheap at the same time, this seems like a very viable option (we are civilized enough to have a Lowe's...). Maybe dip it 4 or 5 times to build up a good coating, let cure, and be on my way?
Opinions?
Thanks
Mike

. Seems fairly permanant, I believe I just got a little impatient and overzealous with the application of the product, causing the long cure time (along with the high humidity I was drinking at the time... Finals week is a Biaocth
). It seems a little harder than the rubber, so I am hoping that it will be more durable in the long run.
