anyone want to take a stab at which envelope filter this may be, or what might get close to this sound? I realize its EF plus some grit. thx

I am not the kinda person who can distinguish between two envelope pedals after theyve been run through other effects, compressed, mastered and tweaked.
And I dont think we have too many of em on here either.

But, I'd go on like, whats the name of that gear page? Or just ask the guy directly through X or IG.
Shouldnt be too hard to figure out. Might even be spotable on the live recording of this.
Probably gonna turn out to be a well known one, like a vintage Q-tron or smt, allthough I know Cory Wong has gone full digital with his effects.

Its not as wet and squishy as a Mutron III it sounds more like a micro V.

I'm not an effects guy. I've only ever owned one pedal, A DOD envelope filter from the late 80s or early 90s.
I don't know if the pedal was ever considered a respectable piece of gear, but it sure could do that sound.

Maybe a Discombobulator? Not very reminiscent of the MXR, but everything impacts EF sound: strings, bass, settings on the bass, and any effects upstream or downstream from the EF. So it is pretty hard to say.

The MXR BEF I’m currently running doesn’t do what I’m hearing in the video. The fwonk beta has been on my radar, that gets my attention.
