Envelope filter

I have a micro qtron and i cant seem to get the sound i want out of it....not to hijack the thread but could anyone recomend any settings for the qtron on the low pass setting that isnt so subtle ( i have the q around 3 and the drive around 1)

When you say 3 and 1, do you mean on a scale of one to 10, or do you mean of the clock?

A few things,

There is a trimpot inside the Micro that should bring down the output volume on the pedal, making it easier to get a more extreme sound out of it without killing your band and your ears. As always, note the original position prior to the tweaking.

I usually have my drive up higher than my Q (Drive at around 3 o'clock, Q at around 1 o'clock).

IMO The most extreme sounds come from running the band or high pass modes blended with a clean signal.

I don't have much to offer the OP except to say that my Micro Q-Tron keeps most of my filter GAS at bay.

Didnt know about the trimpot, I was having awful volume spikes and band pass and high pass were un usable. You cured my GAS for another envelope filter besides a nano bassballs, i was about to buy an ebs bass iq, thanks for saving me 200 bucks

Tone Factor (aka Mojo Hand) has a 440 clone and one modded for bass. I've had both and the bass one is better for bass (good thing!). Sometimes this thing is sold as the 'boomstick", I think and sometimes as the 'red' version. You can get 'em used on ebay, thegearpage.net used, or new at tonefactor.com. It has truebypass and is well-built, and sounds good.

I like the EMMA and the Mad Professor Snow White better, but those are big money.
