Envelope filter

+1 for the Xotic Robotalk 2. I'd still like to try out some others, but the Robotalk really does what I want it to and stopped me looking for a while. Nice juicy sounds, very useful decay knob, and actually pretty useful to have 2 filters in one pedal even though in most cases its overkill.

It replaced a Moogerfooger LPF which was also pretty great, but kind of hard to set and find that sweet spot. What I didn't like about the Moog was that instead of being able to set the sensitivity, you had to turn up the gain until it started to kick in. So to get more or less effect you would have to adjust your whole gain structure, which could be a real PITA.

Would you please tell me how the DOD Fx 25 and FX25 b are ? Are they any good ? Which one ?

Best short answer I can give you is I find the FX25 (I have a kermit green circa 1984 unit) is much more funkier and darker than the 25b that I have (teal/white). IME, the 25b does a better autowah than the older model. Volume and low-end loss are bit of an issue with both, so I blend them with a Boss LS-2 to prevent that.

I like'em both, with a little more love for the older unit, but that's just me.

@all

thanks for the answers for the Bootsy effect on Funk Express Card

I have seen him two weeks ago, the effects he used where not as huge as this one.

It sounds also like there is a tremolo effect
just for a sample of a tremolo sound : Link Removed

Today I tried the EBS IQ in a shop, I liked it.

I have an EBS Wah One, wich also have the IQ effect.

My conclusion is that this two pedals can't replace each other.
You can't reproduce the fast autowah effect for shot notes just with your foot, and the manual wah gives a better control for long notes.

Idealy both should be combined in one device.
The autowah beeing disabled when you put your foot on the pedal or move the pedal.
Or a treshold control of the autowah with the foot pedal would be nice.

added now to my sb7, bsw, and heart attack is a drq filter, which by itself is a little meh, but blended with the sb7 or the heart attack, sounds great . i have 2 wah pedals now, one is a very subtle hellbabe, and the other a boss pw-10 which is a little rougher with great range.
tossing up between the boss and the behringer.
i know opinions on behringer, but i tried it out and it's really not bad especially for the money.

Don't get involved with filters. It's a drug, man. Nothing good comes from them....next thing you know, you have 5 or 6 of them on your pedal board, trying to rationalize that you need more. Don't do it man, don't.

Funny but way to true. I currently have a MXR M82, EBS IQ and a EHX Bassballs (I like having the dist channel). Still GASsing for a Chunk 00 and a 3 Leaf groove regulator.
