Epifani Piccolo 600 Bass Amp

Is anybody using this amp?

I wanted one for a loooong time. When it finally came out I gave it a try. Nice amp but not so much to take the place of my amps at that time, a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and Acoustic Image Clarus, which remains my #1.

I have seen a few of these sell here over the last couple of weeks. Would love to see some feedback as to how the new owners like them, headroom, tone, volume etc. Thanks in advance!

I like mine a LOT. I use with passive P or J basses, or a Rob Allen piezo. Always with a Bergantino CN210 cab. I like "traditional" fingerstyle sound, no slap/pop/zing/effects. Just the bass plugged into amp, plus tuner pedal.

It is kind of large and clunky in comparison to other class D amps, but it always surprises me how light it feels when i pick it up.

Most important to me, it sounds great with my basses and 210 cab, and the controls are simple, musical in effect, and easy to see/adjust in performance. I can't really comment about headroom since i don't push it to extremes or slap/pop/zing. And, it has no fan so it is quiet for practice. Epifani can (or at least used to) upgrade it to higher power but i haven't had any need to do that. And they have just introduced the 999 model which has that big power. Even the carry bag is classy and high quality.

It's expensive, but it is an outstanding amp as far as i am concerned.

Thanks for the feedback. Doesn't seem to be a lot of info on here about Nick's newer stuff. I have been considering the 600 + his newer UL3 3 x 10. It's a little heavier than the UL2 which had neo speakers. The UL3 has ceramic magnets but haven't found anybody who uses one.
