Epifunky Club.............Let's Get It Started!!!!

To me old school is the more rounded and warm tone associated with the 60's/70's when there were no tweeters or horns and most basses were either precisions or jazz'es... tones were less hi fi and more straight ahead...simpler I guess... the 410 has a bit of that going on, mostly due to the large size of the box I think, dont get me wrong it never gets into muddy territory, its a very pleasant tone and one most players would easily live with IMO..

Interesting. The Epifunky has a variable tweeter though. How does changing the position of the tweeter switch change your perception of the sound?

I own the 410, its a great sounding cab for the money, more old school than modern, a warm rounded tone rather than crisp and snappy is how I'd describe it... but with good low mid punch coupled with my Markbass LMII head.... I did'nt realise it would be so physically big as I bought it online from Germany at a great price, weight is no problem at about 58lbs, but bulk certainly is a consideration so dont be like me and check those dimensions.. Any other Epifunky 410 owners out there? so far seems like I'm the only one on the thread...

That why I sold my because of the cab size, very odd size and to deep.

I pretty much keep the tweeter in the centre position, I like some tweeter in my sound but not too sizzly...to my ears the mid way position sounds about right, so I have'nt really experimented... I really like the tone of the cab, but it is cumbersome for a 4x10...

Had great outing with my Epifunky 210 and Prometheus.

I played a street party outdoors, wondering if I would have a big enough rig.

No problem. We had a large wooden stage and the 210 coupled with it and sounded huge~!

Loud enough to bounce the band with ease.

Played for 3 hours and it just sounded better and better...

Hey, I've been eyeballing this thread for a while but I'm considering taking the plunge as I'm thinking about switching up my current amps/cabs. Anyway anyone play one of these cabs with a Hartke LH series head? How do you think they would match up with an SWR 350x? (I think my SVT-7 would be overkill for these :smug:)

I'm still loving mine.
I have 2 - 2x10's.

They sound huge and punch like Mike Tyson.

They reproduce the slap sound better than any cab I have.
It's out front and inya face.

They still get the call despite the fact I have 6 cabs in rotation...
