epiphone bass guitars, which is the best?

epiphone have brought many great basses and also many bad ones, but what do you lot think is there best?

i personaly think there new epiphone ripper re-issues are pretty awsome.

Actually, I've got a Epiphone El Segundo AB. I wouldn't recommend it.

I have coveted a Jack Cassady bass before, but I never see one in the store to test drive it before buying.

Depends what you're looking for. I've got an EB-3 and love it. But that doesn't mean you will.

The Jack Cassidy and the Woody Allen are good basses. I've got a pre-Gibson Epiphone acoustic and its pretty nice, as well as the several pre-Gibson basses I've played.

The Thunderbird Elites are pretty good if you really must have a T-Bird.

I know at least one gent who would vote for the Allen Woody bass. Personally, the Casady keeps singing my name. I have an EB-3 and it's fun, but I'm not sure it's the "best" they make.

My Epi T-Bird is a great sounding bass. Other than that, I haven't really played on any except an EBO which I didn't care for. I would love an EB3 or JC Sig.

perhaps belongs in a Beatle bass thread...but my Viola is a fantastic instrument.

it has been gigged, it has been used in recording sessions, has weathered the ridiculous Western PA season changes. for a dinky little hollowbody, it's a solid bass.
