I don't know enough about pick ups beyond wether or not I like the sound of them. I liked the sound of these, I was wandering if I could become educated.
What I think I know:
Pick ups are either, single coil, humbuckers, or P-style. Single Coils are really powerful but they have a strong hiss when the bass idle. Humbuckers try to quiet that hiss, but at the cost of a bit of power, so then the P-styles attempt to wire a single coil in a way that replicates a humbucker.
These Deep Sixx Pickups are Nikki Sixx branded Humbuckers. I don't even think they are different from other Epiphone humbuckers.
