Epiphone early 60s Newport/ Rivoli basses

Does anyone know if Epiphone has any plans to reissue the early 60s Newport bass or Rivoli eb2 style bass?
I think both of these are long forgotten treasures that the new generation of bass player could really appreciate.

I have a Rivoli reissue from the 1990's that's currently in non-working condition... Needs a new PU and electronics... The stock PU and electronics were crap... But the bass was extremely comfortable and fun to play.
