Epiphone EB3 Pickup Problems

Hi,
I have an Epiphone EB3 style bass.
I love the neck and I have always liked the Gibson SG style body.
I am having problems getting the tone control on the Bridge Pick up to work.
I had to replace the rotory select switch and used a three position toggle.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Also can anyone suggest a good set of replacement pickups for bridge and neck.
Passive prefered.

Don't know if this helps any, but I just ordered a neck pickup off eBay (to replace the stock pickup in my Epi Rivoli; should be same neck pickup as yours)... I started a thread about it...

The stats look very promising on it and the price is unbelievably low.... I am waiting for it to arrive so I can have it installed...
