Epiphone Explorer with "Gibson" Truss rod cover

Hi,
does anyone know if there is any difference between Epi's with and without the Gibson branded truss rod cover? From what I learned so far, only the models made in the early 2000's had this feature.

The ones with a "Gibson" TRC were mostly built in Korea. The first builds were in the late 80s I believe.
Thanks, they also do not have that yadda yadda epihone custom seal, like the models I saw from 2010. In terms of quality, anything different from the ones made in china these days?

And the cover does not mean that this piece has actual Gibson pickups, does it?

Cheers
K

Personally, I prefer Korean-built Epis. But that's just one man's opinion.

No. To my knowledge, the only Epiphones with genuine Gibson pickups were some of the Elite series built in Japan. Korean models don't have them.
