Epiphone Thunderbird non reverse

Hi, I'm just thinking about buying an Epiphone non-reverse Thunderbird (P/J configuration).
What do you think about the bass ?
Is it quite good ?

I've had one for several years, bottom line: it's basically a Squier P/J with a T-bird style body. It sounds/plays fine and is very solid.

I'd look at the one that they have out now. I've played one and was totally blown away. I couldn't find a better bass for $299 with a style that I like so much!

Nice ! So it should be a little less warm than the reverse one with humbuckers..the sound could be compared with a precision ? In your opinion the stock pick ups are good or should I eventually upgrade them ?

They were fine but the bass killed after I dropped in a QuarterPounder P. Much more in line with what you'd expect a T-bird to sound like. More aggresive.

has bad neck dive though =/ but for slap and pop is is acually very good

I had one for a while a few years back and loved it. Cheap and cheerful but with real character, and a decent bridge! MUCH better than the current one IMHO.

If you want to hear one in action, check out the album 'Revolt' by 3 Colours Red. It's very prominent on all tracks.

Quite hard to be found anyway...does anyone know the reason why Epiphone stopped their production ?
