Epiphone Zenith Basses?

The fretless only comes in natural... I like that better anyways. But it's lined, GROSS! LOL

I haven't seen the black one in person, but the natural is very sweet indeed, espeically with the tort binding. The back of the natural-top bass is black, as is the headstock.

Anyone know what strings the Zenith comes with? Whatever they are, they sound great. The fretless uses Labella tapewounds but the fretted have either nickel or steel rounds -- sounds like nickel to my ears.

Just got done playing one of these for a good 2 hours today and must say that it has thrown previous persuit for a jack casady out the window (nice an instrument as it is). (Although who am I kidding, I'll still probably get the casady and end up with two perfect Epi Semi Hollows!)

I posted a review of the Zenith over in Reviews section. very pleased with the bass. If you read the review (which I can't figure out how to edit) Note that the lack of punch on the E string that I mention can be solved with EQ, which I expected. Mainly, I bumped up the 110Hz frequency on my BassBone and engaged the Low Boost preset on my GB Shuttle 6.0 (38-67 Hz range) -- that did the trick. very smooth and really sweet on the top end. Also, some folks have been calling the Zenith a hollowbody -- it's not. It's chambered to reduce feedback. But very acoustic-like with real punch.
