Thinking about the Aguilar ToneHammer following a Radial Bassbone.
Both basses go into the Bassbone; the fretless into the EQ'ed channel, and the fretted into the EQ-less channel...which feeds the ToneHammer. Other pedals go thru the loop and tuner has it's own line.

Thoughts?

You should email [email protected] and ask him about his bass-voiced 5-band fully parametric EQ stomp box. It will probably cost you less then the Xotic and he can build in any additional features, feedback loops, parallel inputs or outputs, etc. that you need.

I hope this isn't considered spam, but I wanted to jump in real quick since I recently joined the forum.

I am indeed building 5-Band EQ's. I'm currently working on two orders and won't be taking any more orders until I finish these, take some nice pictures and put together the comprehensive info on it and the options. Hopefully, some nice reviews will surface as well.

I'm am not a commercial/professional builder, just a guy in grad school with a hobby that I really enjoy.

Great idea, T Alan. I just got a Bassbone and am now trying to rebuild my entire rig around it. It's a great device to have; let me know how your whole thing works out. I'm currently looking for a pedal to use the same way you are (stomp on for slap eq).

Yes. But its all distortion. I literally have no high end on my bass (quite intentional). I hate clank and fret noise, but distortion harmonics sound soooooo sweet to my ears

Since that post I've changed the way I use the ParaEQ. It now wide boosts about 6dB@3kHz and cuts wide around 250Hz (IIRC) and slightly narrower at 600Hz. Makes a great EQ "shift" and makes my Torn's Peaker sound quite lo-fi
