ERBs, What do you think?

A lot of people dislike ERB's, a lot love them. Everything you need to know is in the a fore mentioned thread.
I love ERB's, I think they're great. I wouldn't drop the incredible amount of cash on a Jerzy Drozd or Conklin as your first though. Either try to find a used one, or go through a company like: Ramirez, Stambaugh, Redeemer etc etc. They are AMAZING companies with master builders, that don't like robbing you.

If you can make it work, for sure. Personally, for my work, would be the biggest waste of time and money I could spend. I hardly need a 5 string!! If you can apply one to your gigs and writing, go for it

I am digging my Roscoe 6er but any more than that doesn't work for me. Just personal preference (and the 2 sides of my brain can't work seperately, so my dream of making cool videos of me playing 2 handed versions of Mario Brothers or the Peanuts theme on an 11 string bass are out!).

O would agree with the above comment about not dropping a fortune on a custom 7 or 9 unless you are sure what you want.
