Eric Wilson of Sublime selling some gear

Hot damn! Famous people use CL now? Usually it's eBay. Seems legit also.

Just think, I could buy a random guitar on LA CL and just happen to run into Glen Danzig ;)
Tim Commeford lowballs me all the time. I sold a case to Paz of The Pixies for $40. Oh and the bass player of panic at the disco bought a bass from me off Craigslist not that I like them....lol

So I can go to The bay and buy the Ns design Cr5m for around 2500 so why would I pay a grand MORE for this one ...... Yea I wouldn't. Celebrity names don't add value to instruments.
Unless you have a Strat signed by Jimi Hendrix. Pass.
Merely a (minor) celebrity garage sale with overpriced music stuff.

One is able to paint over the signed names without any problems.

A cheaper solution would be to cross it out with a permanent marker.

Rumor has it that every time Hendrix went back to New York after he got well known, he'd go by Manny's Music and buy a dozen white strats which he would proceed to sign and give away to friends and associates, even random strangers.

I guess even an authentic signed by Jimi Hendrix strat might not be so high if the woods are full of them.

I was recently listening to Nikki Sixx (Frank Ferrana) recant a story about buying a vintage guitar he'd been looking for on CL.
He said the folks he knew told him to let them get a look at it first, but he waited and waited and this friend never got around to inspecting the guitar for him.
So he finally did what normal humans do & just contacted the seller directly, bought the guitar & is now friends with the seller.

Lemmy would buy guitars off CL.

That brings up an interesting dilemma...

You are selling a piece of gear and one of your idols (or someone you despise) shows up at the door to buy it. Do you jack up the price?
