In thirty years of playing I’ve never had a set of strings go so dead so fast. One three hour gig and they went from bright and zingy to so dead you could hardly hear anything when played acoustically. It was the weirdest thing. Then I made the mistake of putting the bass back in the case for a few months. The next time I opened the case I was horrified at the amount of rust that was coating every string. Couldn’t get them off and my bass cleaned fast enough. Not trying to bash EB because the regular slinkies are my go to. Have been for years. And I’m even a big fan of the cobalt flats.
