Ernie Ball flatwounds - what's the difference between group 1, 2, 3, and 4?

I'm interested in possibly trying out Ernie Ball flatwounds (not Cobalts), but they come in four different varieties - groups 1, 2, 3 and 4.

What's the difference between the groups?

Yes, different "groups" for different sets of gauges. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
