Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray 5...

I saw and played a very interesting used Mucic Man Stingray 5 today. It was sunburst with a maple neck and one Humbucker. It sounded nice with flatwound strings on it. They're asking $850. Sounds like a good deal. Any pros or cons on this bass? I don't know how old it is but I'm guessing 4 or 5 years. I have the serial number but I don't know if that's permissible on this site.

Yes, these are fine instrument's! Some folk's think the string spacing is tight, but, once you're used to it, it play's like a dream. Thumpin' on the parallel setting is the real deal! The price sound's cool. Try this site; [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and post the serial # to find the basses date of birth...Good luck my freind!

If you get in contact with EBMM they will let you know when the bass was made. Stingrays are great basses. There is a fairly large thread on Stingray 5's going strong. Check it out for good info.
