Ernie Ball Slinky Short Scale - Thoughts?

Has anyone played these, and if so what did you think?

Either the 100-40 or 105-45 is fine...just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them.

I assume they sound/feel similarly to the long gauge ones, but thought I'd ask either way.

Just adding this in case anyone searches for it in the future.

I recently put the 105-45 (Regular Slinky) short scale strings on my modded Squier Bronco bass.

They sound great - I really like them. I think they have a touch more low mid content than their long scale brethren, which is probably more about the scale length than anything.

I prefer medium-ish gauge strings on my short scale - I don't want too much flop. These fit the bill nicely. The closest comparison is Daddario XL 105-50 short scale. I like the EB gauges for the D and G string better - they feel a bit better to me and I think they slap better if you're into that thing. If you put together a custom Daddario 105-45 set together (short scale, I realize this exists in long scale) they'd be pretty close. For about $20, they are a really good option for 30" scale.

Just came across this thread. Disappointed there weren't some replies to it for me to read. I've order Ernie Ball Slinky Short Scale (105-45) strings for my wife's Fender Mustang PJ Bass.
