ESH bass club

Hello all, Just dropping a line to say that I own one of the Peter Steele tribute basses (#12). I actually just sent (#8) to a friend who used to be very close friends with Peter & the rest of the band from the late October Rust era to the early part of the millenium. Ralf & Jason have created a stunning bass in Peters' honor & I'm sure he would have been thrilled with the design & fuctionality had he lived to see them completed. I am also in the late stages of re-creating (3) Washburn M10 basses that Peter used on tour up until his untimely death. It's nice to see photos & meet other people with the same devotion & interest in keeping Peters' iconic legacy alive.

I just received my Peter Steele Tribute Esh Stinger. I'll add more and better photos later, just took a quick one on my phone.

If anyone sees this and is interested in a review, let me know and I'll write one.

P.S. It plays like a dream and sounds amazing! :D

Please!!! Review!!! Is there any way to get one in the USA?

My 13 cent's worth, regarding my Stinger Peter Steele tribute:

A *monster* of tone. The sound is HUGE, big and full and ballsy, but super crisp, especially when the EMG is paired with the piezo in "position 3" out of the 4 choices (pos 1: "studio" setting, preamp bypassed, "dry" signal; pos 2: EMG only; pos 4: piezo [bridge] only, which is also BIG and FAT sounding with loads of sizzle, just like Peter liked it). And, just like the incredible tonal balnces that can be achieved, the physical balance is absolutely perfect; the weight is ideal (9 lbs, I think, though it *looks* a lot heavier and surprises everyone whom I've let pick it up, which, admittedly, is a very very small number in itself), and the build quality and detailing is off the scale. An absof*ckinlutely bada$$ piece of equipment. I just wish Pete was around to enjoy the finished product.

It sucks that he's gone.

Sorry for the delay folks, I've been very ill for the last 6 weeks. Looks like Whothehell1313 beat me to it! I second everything he said! It is truly an amazing instrument, and Pete would be proud of the work that went into them. It's been interesting seeing where they've all ended up, and what number people have (mine is #5). I actually contacted Jason Vie Brooks on Youtube. He has #1, and it's apparently a little different to the rest of them. I'll try and sort out some more pics in the near future, or maybe some video of me playing it live. It will also be featured in the upcoming video clip from one of the bands I am in.

rulyøngo: I don't think you'll be able to get one in the USA, unless someone sells theirs, but I somehow doubt anyone will want to! :P Link Removed The price is huge though, getting close to double what I paid for mine.

My only complaint about the instrument is that I only have one. I need to score an esh endorsement and convince them to send me a couple more! :D

Hey everyone,Jason VieBrooks here. I was told about this site by a friend of mine and thought I'd sign up and share. Anyway any one wanting to see Black #1 in action, click the link above. As I've seen on the posts here,my bass is different than the ones offered for sale to the public. My bass is Pete's minus the Sustainiac. I worked with him for weeks getting the details down to the "correct" color code Type O used. If you look close at my bass you'll see the green paint is all around the neck and the body is not sandblasted like the others. The awesome story about my bass is that it was supposed to be #14 but Ralf called when they were done and said "there was a mistake at the factory and my bass was numbered,#1" I told him that wasn't a mistake, that was Pete's blessing from beyond! Thanks to all of you who are giving the bass thumbs up. Pete would be proud as he was very excited to get his own signature series but since he passed before the papers were signed, this was my way of making it happen for him. That's why I only let 13 be built!
