Hey guys, this is my first time posting here. I need a little help buying a new bass. I'm kinda new to it - been playing for maybe 3 months now on a Harley Benton Fender Jazz Bass lookalike, and I want to buy something better. I play mostly early thrash and heavy metal (think Metallica, Megadeth, Sabbath and Maiden), and after looking around at some basses, I decided it would be either the ESP LTD AX-104 or the B.C. Rich Warlock NT 4. Over here in Ireland I couldn't find any shops that had either, or even any bass from either brand, so I couldn't try them out. A friend of mine told me the LTD was better, but I want to buy something that will last me a good while. My amp is a Kustom KBA-16, but I'll probably buy another one soon as well. Thanks.
P.S. I might fit EMG pickups to the bass I buy if I can afford them.
