Essential Bass Arsenal

I actually think a lot of artists and producers want you to bring only one bass, the one you think sounds the coolest. It’s part of being a musician. Sometimes, though they are looking for a particular sound. That can be a combination of bass, effects, amps, technique and any number of things. In those instances it’s useful to have bass options but also a knowledge of effects, mixing etc. to reverse engineer a sound that they have referenced. There are always multiple ways to get a certain sound, but you have to know them.
