Essential Bass Effects Pedals

I have to say, I'm not super familiar with chorus. Some form of modulation is always necessary on a board, though (imo, of course). Also, I don't consider a tuner an effect because it shouldn't affect the sound at all - they are essential though, and I will refer to them as a pedal that I have.

So essentials:
distortion/od/fuzz - Ibanez PD7 / Fulltone OCD / EHX LBM
transparent compression - BBE Optostomp / Demeter Compulator
filter - EHX QTron, discobob, Maxon AF-9
phase - Psilocybe, Quasar

*I only own the PD7 and I want the rest... :( I'll be able to afford them eventually.

"A DOD fx25 envelope filter. One of the warmest I have tried and fun to play with once you get used to it's sensitivity requirements. has anybody else turned up the sensitivity on this pedal and played your bass like a drum?" yes i have.

the dod fx25 is awesome and cheap at about $40.

delay: ehx deluxe memory man analog delay (love this pedal) has built in chorus and vibrato

qtron+ (with effects loop) some funky **** right there
mxr flanger- built like a tank and has a beautiful, "watery" sound

ernie ball vp

moogerfooger ring mod (pretty out there but a keeper...will never lose its value if you take care of it)

digitech whammy (can set to many different harmonies)

Every so often I think I can't live without some pedal or another- sometimes I'm right, but more often than not, I stick it on my board for a while and find I don't need or like it.

The effects I find myself using all the time are (for now)...

Fulltone Bass-Drive- It goes from warmed up SVT to a really thick overdrive and has a bost switch. For my money it's the most natural sounding overdrive I've found.
Emma TransMorgrifier Compressor- It's a really versatile and tweakable compressor.
SansAmp Bass Driver DI- I use the amp simulator when sound guys won't put a mic in front of my cabinet. Overdriven direct bass tone doesn't sound too good going to FOH.
MXR Bass Octave- I do a lot of power pop trio playing and it really helps to fatten things up.
Radial Labs BassBone- Invaluable for anyone using multiple instruments for one gig. Two channels of good-sounding preamps.
Boss TU-2 Tuner- A must have. I'd love a Peterson Strobo-Stomp, too

Other pedals I like to keep around are...
EH Big Muff Pi- Great sounding fuzz, but I've had some reliability issues with it.
EH Bass Balls- Fun and funky, but not the most versatile pedal I own.
MXR Phase 100- I don't need it very much, but it comes in real handy every now and then.

Sorry for the confusion...

The SansAmp sounds great, both on its own or in combination with other effects.

I need it for the other overdrive and/or fuzz effects on my board when the engineer is only taking a direct line to the house mixer. Overdrive and fuzz effects that go straight to the house PA via a DI tend to make the speakers sound blown. Although sometimes that can be a good thing. ;)
