Double Bass Euphonic or Acoustic Image

I play electric bass and acoustic bass guitar and I am interested in the AI Clarus SL for having a 10Meg input and being flat/clean to be good with effect pedals. Does anyone have experience running the AI with more traditional cabs like 1x12s?

While the AI Clarus SL is a very clean amplifier, I would not describe it as fat.
Most pickups except the Fishman BP-100 work fine at 1 Meg Ohm. You can of course
Use the 10 Meg setting and it will sound just fine, but I’m pretty certain the 1 Meg Ohm
will sound great unless you pickup of choice is the Fishman BP-100. Players use AI heads with
other standard cabs especially, Bergantino, Aguilar, MAS, Euphonic Audio, et. al.

I have an older 2-channel AI head and I use it to double on. I have recently acquired a Broughton ETDI that I run through the effects loop of one of the channels. I can turn it up with the effects knob and dial in a little warmth for my BG. I prefer 8" drivers but, depending on the 112, it should work out fine. I haven't fond a cab that didn't sound good through my AI heads (I own 2)

Yes, I've used an sIII Coda combo drive a Berantino HT112 with the internal AI speaker turned off. Loud as hell compared to the combo...the Berg is about 10dB more efficient. Very clean sound, even cleaner than the Walter Woods head I normally use with that cabinet. As a platform for effects where you can get grind and coloration from a pedal if/when you need it, it should work well.

Yes, I have run my Clarus-SL with a variety of cabs (and instruments), and it sounds flat/clean and surprisingly powerful with everything I've thrown at it.
