Event ALP 5

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using these, and specifically whether the fact that they are only 5'25 inches affects significantly the way they project sound and handle frequencies, when compared to similar level speakers that may be a bit bigger.i have a small home recording set up and do not really need anything too loud or big. Any input from anyone who has come across these monitors would be greatly appreciated.

I liked the Event monitors, but thought they were under what their power rating said they'd be, I ended up with a couple of Yamaha monitors which are only 5" but seemed to me to reflect the sound more exactly as it was , without color(warmth, etc)and were louder out of the same device, at the same setting.

When you use monitors, unlike Sterio system speakers, you are looking for a more flat response that allows you to hear every imperfection with what you've just played , so that the end product sounds impecable. So you don't want speakers that make the sound good, you want the sound to be good.

Having said that, the Yamies were my preference, but the Event ones were great, and I think once you get them into a room at home( garage even) you'll be surprised how loud they are. ( look out for some high density foam to sit them on, makes them even better ):bassist:
