Double Bass Eventide MixingLink as Mic to Amp/FOH device?

Anyone try an [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] as a device for splitting a mic signal to the amp and FOH? Seems like a simple, compact solution that completely covers the problem. Thinking the HFP Pre and/or any of the other small preamps I have might work well through the FX loop too. It's pretty versatile without having a lot of stupid poopie you'll never use. Eventide products are always well conceived and well built so I figured it would be worth a try. Got one on order so we'll see.

Doing a little more research on this I see that it's a fairly new product and asking if anyone has used one probably wasn't my best question. I guess I'm the guinea pig. It looks like a remarkable little box and I'll check back in with a report once I've had a some time with it. If it does what the specs say it will it should be pretty popular with the mic only people.

If you want to insert a mic into a bass amp with no XLR input it works well. I've found the effects loop really useful for running an Empress parametric EQ too. It also acts as a splitter to send to the amp and FOH. The only reason I don't think I'm going to use it much is that I need to play louder than just a mic will go and I don't have a 2 channel amp. It's well built and does everything that it's designed to do really well. I've never used an Eventide product that didn't. It's a great piece of gear I'm happy to keep for now but I'd also pass it along for a good price if you wanted to try it out. PM me if you want this one.

Yes, there's a 1/4" instrument input. Effectively EQing both the mic and pickup (half an Underwood) eluded me though...if I had another ParaEQ maybe but there you're into about $1K for the mic pre and 2 EQs. If you want to mix two signals something like a D-TAR Solstice or Headway preamp would probably work better.
