Double Bass Ever double bag your bass?

I’m curious if I would do more harm than good if I put two cases on my bass. Does anyone have an objection to this (for the sake of my bass’s well-being) or has anyone tried it? Im considering this as a way to avoid extreme temperature change in case I have to take a long walk to the woodshed this winter. I have a lose fitting mooradian that I normally use on my 7/8 shen and a 3/4 case that I know fits on the the shen alone. I have not tried them together yet but I’m pretty sure the mooradian would slide right over the other bag. My main concern is the weight of the two bags on the bass. I’m not sure if this is even a legitimate concern, but wouldn’t that be a lot of weight focused on the neck?

My main concern would be how the inner bag slips around inside the outer one, possibly making it more difficult to carry and more likely to drop or hit it on something. I don't think it's necessary for temp control, unless you are leaving the thing in a car overnight when the temp drops below freezing, the bass will be okay.
