That isnt being an elitist,I dont like that music anymore? dont wanna play it? thats not what I call an elitist but ok.
I agree with you - we all grow up and our tastes change - people develop new interests and we don't like what we did as children ...
It's like saying you are elitist because you don't like baby food and playing with dummies - we continually grow out of things and learn to appreciate more sophisticated and subtle things over simplest and most obvious...?
