Ever played a Buzz Hornet p-bass?

Looking for reviews and there’s very little online. This is their site Link Removed necks and bodies produced in Japan and all the rest done in Poland. Incredible finishes and very reasonable prices considering the quality of the components. Curious what they tend to weigh. Contacted the company but never got a reply.

Hey man,

I have one for 5 year Its a fantastic bass. Great quality woods, True relic finish, components that you choose together with the guitar maker. I was bit annoyed that it has trust rod access at heel, but in 5 years I didnt have to adjust it once, the neck is so stable. To your question, its around 4,2 kilograms, which is fair in my opinion.

I paid 1200 euro in 2019, including shipping. If you are not a Brand snob, this is Fender Custom shop level of quality.

I am planning to also buy their jazz bass.

Beautiful Hornet. Is that dakota red?

I contacted them to see if they offer 32” or 33” scale. That’s my ideal.

What’s the neck profile on yours? Regular C or thinner like a modern C?

Seems they usually do 1.5” nut width on their Hornets, like a J bass. I’d probably ask for a 1.55” or 1.625” if they offer those options.

Which pickups, bridge and tuners did you choose?

If you have any sound clips I’d love to hear the range of tones you get.

That weight isn’t bad. I noticed they use heavy tuners a lot, not sure why. Does yours have much neck dive? I can handle the weight if it balances well.

I've been eyeing these over time as well, very reasonable prices for what appears to be excellent quality work on par with things you'd pay $2k+ for here in the states. Love the looks and sound of this bass they posted recently:

Yeah, that’s a nice one. They had a green Hornet a few months ago. It was aged heavily. Amazing bass though I’d go for a more moderate level of aging or none at all.

Only issue is shipping cost and import taxes. A 1300 euro bass is probably $1600 all said and done.

Wish I could find a used one. I’ll bet they’re easy to find in Poland.
