Everyone's favorite strings?

I think that D R makes the best string on the market (Thomastik-Infeld are good too, have a unique sound and are very pricey and hard to find). I love Hi Beams but two years ago I switched to Black Beauties and haven't looked back. They last and last and last, plus they don't tarnish the bell brass frets on my Warwick like nickel and steel strings.

I've never thought that strings make a ton of difference with the exception of Flats vs. Rounds. I really think the player makes the difference. A great player can make any strings sound great, but the best strings in the world will not make a mediocre player sound great. Personnally, I think efforts are better spent on the improvements of ones ability. I have never seen a bass player kill it and wondered what strings they play. Just me.

Flatwounds : P bass - TI Flats (love that Pino tone)
J bass - GHS Precision Flatwounds (warm bottom end, reduced highs)

Nickels J - DR Sunbeam (sweet top, growly)

Stainless J- DR Hi Beam (ringy extended top end, slightly reduced mids and still has a good bottom for slapping and popping)
