I - Ex Caerulio
The first of a set of solo double bass improvisations entitled "Ex Tempore", out now. The audio is available in a high quality format on the new bandcamp page of my solo project, "Meladao", free of charge.
These were recorded on the spur of the moment, after a photoshoot we did in the summer of '24. Live and uncut. I had the intention of later adding synth backings when recording, and did so; I would argue they're fairly subtle. I will probably be posting the second of this set in one or two weeks' time. If anyone's interested, I can go into the theoretical details of the modes I'm using to improvise here (although it's been a minute at this point).
