Experience With Eden

I do believe one of those 112's used to be mine.

anyways, have only 1 minor issue with 1 head of the Eden gear that Ive owned/own (3 heads, 7 cabs) and Eden fixed it quickly and for no $.

I am always suspicious about GC gear because I dont know how its been taken care of and i see alot of their customers banging around on things when im there.

Well, you bought it from a shop, so have them repair the amp.

Yeah, per the FAQ section of their site, Eden designed, Eminence manufactured.

In regards to the OPs question, I've owned a early 2006 WT550, since 2006. 0 problems, its been my main gigging and practice amp ever since. TBH I think I've heard the popping thing you mentioned but it was pretty quiet. It's loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to damage speakers or anything. It's also not consistent, as I've heard it like....4 or 5 times in the time I've owned the amp. It's possible you have a different issue though. From my end its intermittent enough, and mild enough, to not warrant service.

TBH since this was GC I'm not super surprised they re-listed it without making any changes. GC usually does not have anyone remotely qualified to repair amps on-site, so unless they run into a wholly dead amp, they'll just put it back on the floor. You really have to be careful buying from them as others have mentioned.

I did another search and it appears that Eden is no longer making the claim that they are the only company which manufactures their own speakers. However, they were making this claim as of last week. Their site now states that many manufacturers make their speakers over seas but Eden works with eminence to ensure U.S. standards.

My eden head has never failed. Im not crazy about the WTDI pedal i bought last year, it fails lol.
Nordshow (sic) era Edens are fairly reliable.
SVT 3 pro needed 3 trips to St Louis and still never sounded right. I suspect they had not yet discovered the MOSFET bias issue.
My other SLM product, a Crate BT350 kept shutting down on stage, overheating. My tech said it was WAY over the factory designated bias for the line amps and adjusted it.
But my American made Eden never failed and has never needed servicing.

Been an Eden user for 10 years.
My setup is an Eden WT-400, 212xltand a 210xst. Never had any issues with any of it and never needed a backup. I am looking at getting a couple of Neo 112 cabinets now only because the gigs re getting more regular, I'm getting older and the Edens are getting heavier. Looking at either two Baer ML112's or two Bergantino CN112's to replace the Eden cabs. I will never sell the WT-400 though.
