The seller, Max George, had nothing but good things to say about Upton as a company and Eric and Gary as people, so I suppose that's a worthy addition to this conversation as well.

Double Bass Experience with upton bass?

My experience with Upton has been excellent so far. Bought this beautiful Bohemian yesterday from a classified here on TB after sending the listing to Gary Upton for his insight. He called me and we talked DB for 30 minutes. Actually he schooled me on the basics and I listened. That's not happening with Shen (or PRS, Fender, or Guild, to cover my other instruments.) That sort of customer service is huge. Huge.
Like the mistake those sales ladies in Pretty Woman made, but in the opposite direction.
