Experimentation trials...

Hello everyone! I'm wondering if anyone here does any fresh build/remodel/refit of any cabinets, amp heads or basses.

I'm in the middle of an experiment of sorts. I have purchased an older dual 15 inch bass cabinet with bad drivers (knowing it was a fixer upper, and it was cheap). I had purchased a yamaha 410 cabinet (same situation) a while back, and I did a big overhall. Changed out the 4 ohm woofers with higher power handling 8 ohm woofers, changed out the crossover(tweeter was 8 ohm) replaced the L-pad, and upgraded the wiring. It turned out great and sounds like a dream! Of course, I'm not using a normal bass head for it. I had an 8 space rack case that I wasn't using, among other items... I'm using a Behringer bass V-Amp pro (which I find useful and like) ran into a Behringer feq215 equalizer and bbe 882i sonic maximizer, which is then fed into a Peavey 8.5c amplifier (the bass, for now only runs on one channel of the gear, and I run a stage monitor on the other)

Anyone else have any stories they'd like to share, and how did your experiment(s) turn out?
