Expression Pedals - Best Bang For The Buck?

I just picked up an EHX Ring Thing, and I'm looking to use some of its whammy-esque pitch shifting abilities, for which I will need a TRS-style expression pedal. What is the best value in an expression pedal out there? Obviously, construction is important, but other things are important as well: pedal travel, smoothness, etc.

So... whatcha think?

I got the Boss FV 500 L. The treadle is adjustable and it works great. I think I picked it up for about $89.00. This thing is very well built and looks like it will last quite a while. This is the unit they (EHX) suggested for my Enigma so I imagine they would suggest it for The Ring thing. Ckeck out daddys.com and look under effects I think there is one there for $59.00(probably $69.00 shipped)

ive owned the following:

m-audio ex-p: crappitty crap crap crap... built to withstand nothing.

moog ep-2 (or 1...?): anyway, i had one issue with it, but its a great pedal

roland ev-5: i took it back because i thought it was a bit stiff, since i originally bought it to do really quick whammy/pitch shifting stuff, but in retrospect it was excellent in build quality, plus i think it had a right angle jack on it, which rocks.

i forget what the above pedals cost, but the bottom two are built solid and i would buy more if needed.
