Extended Length Strings

I’m working on an experimental acoustic bass, and I’m running into trouble finding strings. This instrument has a 42” scale length, and the strings run over a floating bridge into what is essentially a tail piece. I need a string that is quite long, and I’ve not found anything outside of upright strings that is this length. However, this is a 5 string instrument, which creates a bit of an issue with buying upright strings. Any recommendations ?

Kalium definitely has the product, but their responsiveness and customer service have been spotty (at best) of late. I'm pretty sure they can go as long as you might need...

Depending on the total length of each string( i.e. 52"), I could possibly make you strings for the 42" scale length. Stainless or phosphor/bronze flat wounds etc.. Custom made strings for the specific Bass is generally the only way to get the end result you want.
