Apologies in advance if this has already been covered in another thread. I'm going to receive my Markbass CMD JB Player's School combo soon. I just wanted to ask:
1) Has anybody here used that combo with the Blackline 151 extension cab?
2) Alternatively, has anybody used the same combo in conjunction with a 121 or 102 extension cab?
I have read and heard things like "the 15s are slow moving as compared to 10s", or that "10s are better suited for slap playing because of their responsiveness". I know that it's all subjective, which is exactly what I want, as many views about these cab combinations as possible. I am from a city in India that does not provide the opportunity to test my bass (a Harley Benton BZ 6000 six string) on any of these configurations because there are literally two music stores here, none of which stock bass amps (they have 4 bass guitars between two of them), so "you've got to see what works for you" is not an option. I'd really appreciate some help here. For the record, I play covers and originals with different bands in styles including but not limited to pop, blues, rock, jazz, funk etc. My gigs tend to be small to medium, with the occasional big gig which asks for a big(ish) rig, hence this post.
