EZDrummer 2 Released

+1 to Drummer in Logic Pro X. It's a great songwriting tool and a lot less cumbersome than EZD, IMO.

If you want to have more control and a plethora of powerful options, I would recommend Jamstix over EZD. I've been using Jamstix 3 for about three years now and it's pretty amazing. Much much more powerful than anything I've seen on the market (there is a learning curve, but it's very much worth spending the time). There was a gap in time I didn't use it anymore because I switched to Mac and it wasn't available as an AU, but now it is. I love the integration and simplicity of Drummer, but the power of Jamstix. Different tools for different purposes.

I recently got it, using in Presonus Studio One Producer. It's nice to use, but I was very disappointed in the meager number of packaged library grooves which come with it. I might not have paid that price for it had it known the selection was so limited.
