F Bass electronics noise issues

This is really embarrassing..

I have a had a BN6 for over a year. Recently, by mistake, I pulled up on what I thought was the active/passive and realized that I actually HAD a single coil mode.
Up to that point I had no idea it was even on there..

But, since I found that I do have the coil tap. I have not noticed any major hum/ noise issues.

I'm trying to figure out if the pickups themselves are bad. George recommended that I use a multimeter to test the leads, testing black to white then blue to red. He said they should read around 13-16k ohms, however I'm getting 11k on all combinations in hum cancelling mode for both pickups. In single coil mode I get 7k for black to white and 0 for red to blue for both pickups. Some of these wire are touching each other (it's still wired up), for example the white and red pairs share a lug on each volume pot. Would that affect the reading?
