alright I asked for the pictures what do you guys think:

That sounds like real one. But, it seems that someone put backwards that jackplate on it (as I remember, don't hold me responsible).

I would not buy it, if I cannot touch it first.
 
Something doesn't seem right about that trussrod cover; it looks too sharp compared to others I have seen on here. Then again, it might be a replacement.

The dual trussrods though do point to it being real. That said, were there copies of this bass that had dual trussrods? (Did the Univox copy have them too?)
 
Looks real to me.

I searched Ric's website for the serial number and here's what I got:

Serial seems legit. Whole bass looks legit. Probably just a bogus or replacement truss rod cover. (And then even then, it might be a legit older Ric cover..)
