Famouse Effect Basslines

I never checked his setup I just saw him do it. They're Godsmack, they can do anything. And I don't mean they're talented (they are that's a given) but they're sponsored out the ass. They can do whatever they feel like doing.

Well they can try. As Scotty says, ya cannot change the laws of physics.

The compression driver in the talk box won't work at those frequencies, and the mouth isn't a great resonant cavity at those frequencies either.

I'd love to hear a clip. Did they release it on an album, or only do it live? What the bass otherwise effected, esp w/ distortion? That would make it much more pronounced.

Live show I think right after they did vampires, and it was a talkbox for sure there was a tube in his mouth, to describe it it was definitely distorted but I also think he was running stereo with a clean sound as well. I just can't remember what all he was running through man =\ I was there more for the inebriated atmosphere and killer music than what he was playing through.

BRAAAAAAINS!!!

Nope, gillento was right. He uses the Funky Fingers on Steam, but not Sledgehammer.

Dennis Brown backed by ASWAD- Promised Land - vintage phaser - maybe Musitronics Mutron Phasor II or III.
Very few traditional reggae songs use any drastic effects on bass. Some newer ones employ bass synth, wah, octave dividers, etc. But usually its just that deep, dark, round, full, fat, warm reggae bass.
