Ok, in an attempt to actually be helpful, here's the only picture I was able to find.

This fretless was posted by Chaz over at BassNutz. I believe it has an EMG pickup cherry body, walnut top and an unlined maple fingerboard.

Interesting body shape. Not really my style, but then neither are Carl Thompsons so if you dig them then I think he's worth checking out.

Chaz, how long have you been making basses? I only ask because your post at Bass Nutz is from November and it sounds like this was one of your first.

Thanks for that!! I am at work and the file with the good pictures are on my shop computer. I have been building form about january 2005, however many have hit the burn barrel before I finally came up with a shape that looked good and was presentable as well as played nicely. I have about 7 on the street, mostly word of mouth by local people, however I had a person from Japan show up and bought one right out of my shop, how he found me I have NO idea! Here is a new one I am working on and I think this is on the the Bassnutz as well..

When you get the website going, please post a link in this thread.

We love basses of all shapes, and we love new builders, so get those pics posted to a website so that we can give them some love.

It depends how far you want to go with it. If you think you'll want to actually accept payments online, etc., then things get more complicated.

If you just want a fast way to get a presence on the web and post some descriptions and pics, this service is incredibly easy:

www.freewebs.com

There are free accounts and then paid accounts with more features. We use them for our band website.

If you go the way of freewebs, I'd be glad to help you along.

Thank you, I will look at that site, (on my day job no less!!) Not too many people in the local area savy on designing a site for a bass builder. They think I'm into fishing or something. However, when I test a new bass and put the SVT to 11, you can bet your bottem end the local Sherrif makes a guest appreance. Well I am going to the shop to do some sanding. Thanks again and I appriciate you advice and help....Chaz

Thank you, I enjoy the forum and all the great things on here, and yes CT puts out some fantastic work, he and Jens Ritter as are MANY others out there are my insprations as well as just letting the wood do the talking. I generally use a template to draw out the shape, cut it and then from there I kind of see what flows out. I will post pictures of what I have made later on tonight. Thank you.....chaz
