fast runs

[Exemonium]

I've watched a ton of your stuff and you have quite the library of very fast runs when you're improvising. Are most of these things you've worked out and just throw in different keys, Or are you able to rip out runs like that off the cuff?
Also, if some if prepared did you work it out slowly and then increase speed once you had the positioning and everything figured out?
I'm having trouble figuring out fast jazz-type leads, and any help is greatly appreciated!
