Gino Vanelli - Yonder Tree - very jazzy, fabulous lyrics, production, songwriting, the entire package - phenomenal album.
Genesis - Wind and Wuthering - the first album after Gabriel left, it has some of Genesis VERY best material (Eleventh Earl of mar, One for the Vine, Blood on the Rooftops) it is strangely overlooked!
kd lang - Ingenue - other than the hit "Constant Craving," this album is magnificent. We know the vox are flawless and intimate, but the songwriting - with Ben Mink's thoughtful input - is superb.
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack - IMHO their best work from the proto-metal "Stone Cold Crazy" to "Now I'm Here" and John Deacon's first colo controbution "Misfire" - this album, apart from teh hit "Killer Queen" isn't nearly as well known as it should be, probably bc it was followed by "A Night at the Opera" which seems to define Queen's catalog. AWESOME album.
