Fave boutique bass

Another vote for Alembic. Considering the ones I have and the ones I'd love to have.

But of the ones on the list, Ken Smith and MTD are also favorites of mine (though I own neither, currently).

Of those not on the list, Hanewinckel, Marchlewski and Jerzy Drozd would place very high.

The crew up in Saskatoon should just about have my Afterburner ready to ship. I voted Dingwall because it's the one that's presently still a dream. The other two in hand are my burgundy 55-94 deluxe with ebony fretboard and my Kinal MK-21. Truly blessed here. I know one shouldn't 'love' inanimate objects so I like 'em a whole lot

None, really. Gimme a bass under $1200 and I'm happy. Not to say I don't GAS for some pretty expensive stuff, but I've been happy with my cheaper basses, and, honestly, very, very few boutique builders make basses that interest me visually. They're all much too 'modern' looking- i.e. quilted/spalted tops, no pickguards, often an 'understated' appearance...none of that appeals to me.

Most of the time, if a high-end builder makes models that interest me, they're take-offs/ripoffs/improvements/variants of Fender designs.

I have many "dreams."

Fodera, MTD, Sadowsky, Rick Turner, Pete Skjold, for sure, and I'd love to try a bass from Benavente, Stambaugh, or Nordstrand.

Love MTD, Zon, Fodera and Elricks, but I am fortunate to play my dream basses. I voted and have two Roscoes: fretted 6 and fretless 5.

If I had to vote on four strings only, I'd vote Fodera. I play mostly 5 and sometimes 6, so it's Roscoe for me.

Those I've never tried:Benevente, Nordstrand, Stambach, Hanewickle, FFB, CB Basses and NYBW.

I did play a Ritter with the Master bar pick ups recently. I was floored by the bass. Not so much by the slim bucker equipped Ritter that I also tried.

I expect to be trying a couple of Foderas in the next month or so. So I voted for Fodera but would have voted for Ritter is on the list.

But I'm certain a Fodera would look really good on me.
