Favorite Bass Tone on YouTube

That is cool .... I never thought about using the cover on a P Bass to anchor and pivot the thumb for muting E. I have the covers off of my Ps 'cause I thought they were useless! I'm gonna put one back on my flatwound P now.

Anyone know who is doing these Fender demos? Great style! My wrist would explode at that angle however.

There is a reviewer on jamstage.cz ( youtube) named Jaryn Janek who gets killer tone out of everything he plays. He's really on a par with Ed Friedland IMO and does a balanced review. Polish up on your Czech but bass-ese will suffice.Invalid Link Removed

Hey guys I know atleast a couple of you have to have sent some time online listening to some fellow bassist shred. What is the best tone you've stumbled across and why? Mine are below:

Probably the best pbass tone as well as the greatest finish! Love the neck residue as well.

Bon Jovi also shreds?? Rick with some real steel strings on it.

The P bass is great but I don't think it was given proper justice. The amp sounded too mid scooped which is OK and all but I would've like to hear some other eq settings like flat, or mids boosted. Also the reviewer just played some Iron Maiden and rock riffs. He should've thrown in some R&B or Motown type riffs and maybe some blues as well.
