Favorite Boss Pedal

My favorite? LS-2, hands down.

My other owned boss pedals are the dd-7, oc-2 and syb-5. The dd-7 is a great pedal and very fun to fool around with, but useless for my current bands. The oc-2 (made in Japan in the 80s) is awesome, but outclassed by the awesomer ie subterranea. The syb-5 tracks very poorly, so it's mostly relegated to being a (really fun) toy, but never being used live.

The ls-2, on the other hand, has a permanent place on my board, as a dirty-clean mixer and quick volume controller.

I'm still looking for a DD-3 priced right. Boss makes great pedals IMO. In certain instances there are better options out there, but not always. The BF-2 is exactly what I want flange to sound like, the CE-5 is a nice lush chorus, and the OC-2 is a classic among bassists.

i currently own a tu2 (tuner), an ls2 (loop) and a bf2 (flanger). i have to say the utility stuff is my favorite. never been a fan of the boss dirt. their time based effects can be cool for my needs, but often i've been let down and steered clear of boss pedals. i do like the enclosures and quiet operation. price point isn't bad either.

AW-3 is the only Boss pedal I've kept, and I've tried a bunch. I probably won't buy any more unless I get a good deal on a VB-2. For the price (used), Boss pedals are hard to beat. For most of the pedals they make, somebody else makes something better, but usually at a higher price point.
