Favorite Colors of Basses

I am about to buy a MIM Precision Bass, and I was thinking about what color to get. I'm leaning towards sunburst with the tortoise shell pickguard, but I'm hesitant because the Mexican sunburst doesn't look as good as the American 3-tone. What does everybody else think is the best color for a P-Bass? If somebody has a picture of a MIM sunburst bass with a tortoise pickguard, that would be helpful, too.

I agree with the sunburst not looking as good as the MIA. IMO black, artic white, or midnight wine. Also, have you looked thru the P-bass club thread?

LOVE black on black, and I saw a really cool one someone posted earlier that was white and like a jade. Really killer. Other than that, red/white kind of catches my eye.

I'm a fan of Black, or White. They go with just about anything. Accessories are so important you know!!

i have never seen the sunburst p bass, but i have a sunburst mim strat...
theres nothing wrong with the finish, it just doesnt have the "woodgrain" look in it...
its a little bit like a solid orange.

my personal pick would be the white...
but if white isnt your thing, go for sunburst.

On MIM's - natural if you can find one but if not, midnight wine with a black pearl moto pickguard is pretty sweet. Here's a pic of my old MIM jazz.

Burgundy stain.
Transparent burngundy.
Burgundy gloss.

And PURPLE! I really want a purple bass, but alot of them just look naff rather than cool, as anything purple should be.
